How to eat according to your dosha

If you have a predominantly Vata constitution or have a strong Vata imbalance, make sure you always eat regularly – don’t skip meals. Eat in a calm, relaxed atmosphere. Avoid eating on the run or while working. Make sure your diet is warming and nourishing – avoid cold, raw foods. Salad is not your friend. Emphasise salty, sour and sweet tastes.

Vata Yoga Flow

Vata when in balance, has a creative energy, expansive consciousness feeling joy and gratitude in life. However, Vata when out of balance can feel fearful, anxious and have difficulty sleeping. This is a dynamic yet steady practice that will stabilise, mobilise and ground and gradually work towards stillness, with mindful breathing to finish the practice.
