Banana Lassi Recipe

As the summer sun shines strong and bright, seek a moment of respite with a refreshing Banana Lassi, a traditional Ayurvedic drink that combines the creamy goodness of coconut or soya yogurt with the natural sweetness of bananas and dates, balanced with warm spices. The perfect summer sweet treat, this thirst-quenching and nourishing recipe tempers the summery fire of Pitta dosha, supports digestion, and gives the body and mind a rejuvenating boost, inside or poolside.

Ingredients:

· 1 small coconut or soya yogurt

· ½ a glass of plant-based milk

· 2 bananas

· 3 pitted dates

· ½ a teaspoon of ground cinnamon

· ½ a teaspoon of ground cardamom

· Chia or hemp seeds for topping

Method:

1. In a blender, combine the coconut or soya yoghurt, plant-based milk, bananas, pitted dates, ground cinnamon and ground cardamom

2. Blend until smooth and creamy

3. Pour into a glass and top with chia or hemp seeds

4. Serve chilled and enjoy
